About the event
The next Wotton Wildlife Watch nature outing is on Sunday 17th August at our local 'rare habitat' that is 100 Acer Wood.
Wet woodland is an extremely rich invertebrate habitat - and can support several species which are Biodiversity Action Plan species, such as the ash borer beetle and Sallow (willow) Guest Weevil.
Borer beetles make incredible artworks in bark - reminiscent of Australian Aboriginal 'song line' art works!
Join in our family learning day to look for clues of these beetles around site, plus go pond dipping for the species who love the combination of rotting wood and water in the valley deep!
It's a science-craft-eco day for you all and it's for free!
