Join us to help remove tree guards at Wotton Sports Parc. Some of the trees have been growing at the Parc for over 10 years and now urgently need to be freed from their spirals and guards to continue thriving.

About the event

Join us on Sunday 1st March, 10am–12pm to help remove tree guards at Wotton Sports Parc. Some of the trees have been growing at the Parc for over 10 years and now urgently need to be freed from their spirals and guards to continue thriving.


This is satisfying, practical work that involves quite a lot of bending but no digging!

A great opportunity to give established trees the care they need.


Meet at the car park beside the skate park using What3Words: encloses.stroke.overused.


Site Specific Information


The site is relatively flat and there is a 5 minute walk to the trees.  Wellington boots or sturdy walking boots advised!  Please bring a spade suitable for planting saplings; a small border spade is ideal.  Good gardening gloves are useful and please bring eye protection as we will be using canes to support the saplings and particularly for the plastic removal where there will be low…
