Beyond the Bin with Kelly Osborne - Sept 26

1 min read

What does a lower-waste lifestyle really look like — and how can we make it work in everyday life?

In this recording, a local zero waste advocate shares an honest and practical look at their journey, from veg boxes and refill shops to second-hand clothes, including the successes, challenges and compromises along the way.

We also hear from the Gloucestershire Recycles team at Gloucestershire County Council, who explore the many ways we can reduce waste beyond simply putting things in the recycling bin. From repair cafés and rental schemes to refill shops, second-hand buying and choosing lower-waste packaging, they share practical ideas and local initiatives that can help us buy less, waste less and save money.

The talk also looks at why reducing waste matters, drawing on research from Keep Britain Tidy and exploring what encourages people to change the way they consume.

Whether you’re already trying to reduce your waste or simply curious about where to start, this talk is full of realistic ideas and inspiration.
